Roaming left back Theo Hernandez opened the gate for France's march back into the World Cup final, four years after lifting the coveted trophy high in the Russian sky.

His athletic finish in the fifth minute allowed the defending champions to control much of the game while limiting the threat of Morocco for large periods of the contest.

While Kylian Mbappe and others around him have dominated the headlines, Hernandez has been steady on the left and will be looking for another telling contribution in Sunday's finale.
