Claudette Miller revue for the Pegasus Sunday
Jazz in the Garden at Jamaica Pegasus Hotel will on Sunday feature the Claudette Miller Revue. Included on the bill for the bi-monthly entertainment series are Nana Moses, Jasoul, Nina Karle, Dennis Rushton and the Silverbird Orchestra.
Miller, a former member of the allfemale trio Ebony, is expected to bring a unique blend of reggae, jazz, soul, R&B to the lawns of the Pegasus Hotel that has become jazz garden since the year 2000.
Another highly anticipated act is jazz/gospel pianist Dennis Rushton. The former prodigy of Jon Williams, Paulette Bellamy and Marjorie Whylie.
Nana Moses is a theologian and an artiste, on a mission to make the gospel more culturally relevant and interesting. Nina Karle, is by no means a stranger to the world of music. She has been singing since childhood, honing her skills through her mother’s direction in the Crofts Hill Anglican Church Choir, the Holmwood Technical High School Choir and the Dawson College Choir in Montreal Canada. A member of LMJ, a female group which was the opening act for Junior Kelly on his 2009 European tour.
The four members of JaSoul didn’t meet by accident, it was fate. Their voices blend and harmonise seamlessly on each track that they produce. From Montego Bay, they have a lot to offer to the music industry.
Not to be left out is the Silverbird Orchestra. Made up of youths of the inner-city, has been a regular performer on the hotel circuit for many years.
