KINGSTON, Jamaica — Vendors in downtown Kingston are once again calling on authorities to address a sewage problem on Princess Street.

"Is the same thing all over again, but this time it look like the sewage problem get worse," one angry vendor told the Jamaica Observer this morning.

The vendor, who declined to give her name, said the situation is a serious health risk and was also driving away her customers.

Another vendor Earle, who was peddling food items along the roadway, said the sewage problem had also affected his business greatly.

"Because of this sewage people hardly come buy items from me," he said.

A few months ago several businesses were forced to close their doors resulting from raw sewage flowing on the street downtown.
