KINGSTON, Jamaica — THE Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has ruled that three Jamaica Defence Force soldiers be charged for the fatal shooting of Keith Clarke.

Clarke was killed in May 2010 when the security forces invaded his home at Kirkland Heights, St Andrew in an effort to find former Tivoli Gardens strongman Christopher 'Dudus' Coke.

The ruling came after extensive perusal of witness statements, forensic, pathologist and ballistic reports.

"Our examination of this matter involved the requisite legal research and a consideration of the available evidentiary and public interest factors as outlined in the Jamaica Prosecutors Protocol recently published by this office," a release from the DPP's office stated.

This ruling was sent to the INDECOM Commissioner, Terrence Williams, Commissioner of Police, Owen Ellington, the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the Bureau of Special Investigations and the Chief of Staff of the Jamaica Defence Force, Major General Antony Anderson.
