Beaches, Negril opens new water park
NEGRIL, Westmoreland – Beaches, Negril last week officially opened a water park, said to be the largest of its kind in Jamaica and the largest within the Beaches chain of hotels in the Caribbean.
The park, which has been in use since June 5, is expected to attract more visitors to the seven year-old property.
“Business will increase, and it will have a positive impact on occupancy even locally,” general manager Clifton Reader told the Observer at the opening of the facility last Wednesday.
Construction of the park formed part of a US$2.5-million project, which included the tiling and repainting of the entire property and the construction of a multi-purpose 12-room spa.
