Boy dies and girl injured in car, tractor crash

RAUL Gonzales, 17, was killed and Elise Byle, 15, was injured in a motor vehicle accident on the Sligoville main road in St Catherine yesterday evening.

The two were passengers in a Toyota Sprinter motor car, registered PA 8907, which collided with a John Deere tractor at about 6:00 pm.

Both were taken to the Spanish Town Hospital, where Gonzales was pronounced dead and Byle admitted in a stable condition.

The Constabulary Communication Network reported that the Toyota Sprinter motor car was being driven by Phillip Brown, and the tractor by 44 year-old Vernal Johnson of Waterloo district, just outside Spanish Town in St Catherine.
