Brazilian award for Bernal

Ambassador Richard Bernal (right), director-general of the Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery (RNM), receives the Order of Rio Branco, one of Brazil’s highest national honours, from the Brazilian Ambassador to Jamaica Cezar De Souza Lima Amaral, during a function in his honour at King’s House in Kingston, yesterday. Bernal is the first Jamaican to receive this prestigious award. He was bestowed this honour for his outstanding work in trade negotiations in the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) and the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
