Outstanding primary school texts for distribution in January
THE Ministry of Education, Youth and Culture will be delivering the outstanding five workbooks in the Carlong Primary Integrated Studies series this month to be used by students in terms two and three of the school year.
Term two started Monday.
Last term, schools were advised that the workbooks would be delivered along with the other outstanding textbooks that were due for distribution under the ministry’s Primary Textbook Programme from September. However, the ministry was unable to procure the supply of the workbooks in time for distribution.
Alongside the workbooks, the ministry will supply schools with the Mid-Island Grade 4 Integrated Social Studies and a copy of the Carlong Grade Primary Integrated Studies Term (units 1 and 2) workbooks so that teachers can familiarise themselves with the materials before the next school in September 2005.
The full allocation of the latter workbook will be done then under the textbook programme for 2005.
The ministry said too that schools should retain their supplies of the Carlong social studies textbooks for grades 5 and 6, and Carlong science for grades 4, 5 and 6 that were distributed in September 2003, for use in the 2005/06 school year.
