11 month-old dies in fire
NEGRIL, Westmoreland – The Negril Police were yesterday investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an 11 month-old male infant at the White Hall Housing Scheme.
The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported that at about 12:10 yesterday morning the child, Javaughn Brissett, was at home with other family members when they were awakened by heat and discovered that the house was on fire.
“Efforts to save the baby proved futile as the fire quickly spread, engulfing the building,” the CCN said.
