Two decomposing bodies found in Linstead
COMMODORE, Linstead- The police are investigating the deaths of two unidentified men whose decomposing bodies were found at Buena Vista, Commodore, Linstead, St Catherine yesterday.
According to the Constabulary Communication Network, at about 10:00 am residents found the bodies in an unfinished building in the community and summoned the police.
An on-the-spot post mortem revealed that one of the men died from gunshot wounds and the other from stab wounds. The bodies were removed to the morgue.
Watchman shot dead in May Pen
A watchman was Sunday night shot and killed by gunmen at a construction site at Bryan Crescent in May Pen, Clarendon. He has been identified as Junior Wynter, otherwise called ‘Sargie’, of Windsor Avenue, May Pen.
According to the police, at about 8:00 pm Sunday residents heard explosions and called the police, who found Wynter’s body with gunshot wounds in a chair at the entrance of the construction site. The body was removed to the morgue for post mortem.
Man held for machete slaying of farmer
JEFFREY Gordon of Crofts Hill, Clarendon, was taken into custody following the machete slaying of 35-year-old farmer Anthony Allen, alias Pedro, at Rhoden Town in the parish Sunday night.
The police reported that at about 10:30 pm both men were involved in a dispute which escalated into a fight. During the altercation, a machete was used to chop Allen several times. He died on the spot. T
he police were summoned and the body was removed to the morgue for post mortem.
Following investigations by the Crofts Hill CIB, Gordon was taken into custody.
