Braeton resident shot dead
BRYAN Esson, a 40 year-old resident of Trout Way Braeton, Portmore in St Catherine was shot dead by unknown assailant(s) at Bonito Way in the community on Monday.
The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported that at about 4:30 pm, residents heard explosions and called the police, who found Esson’s body with several gunshot wounds on Bonito Way. The body was removed to the morgue for post mortem.
.Man shot dead at Lovers Lane
THE Black River police have commenced investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of 20 year-old Dwayne Scott at his home at Lovers Lane, Black River, St Elizabeth on Monday.
The CCN said that at about 5:30 pm Scott drove home and was closing his gate when he was approached by a man armed with a gun. The man opened fire hitting him before escaping in a cream coloured motor car that was parked nearby. The injured man was taken to the Black River Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Old man missing from Ensom City
SEVENTY year-old Lewin Powell of Renfield Avenue, Ensom City, St Catherine, has been missing from home since Monday, September 5.
He is of dark complexion, slim built and about 167.64 centimetres (5 ft 6 in) tall.
The CCN said that at about 10:00 am September 5, Mr Powell left home for an undisclosed destination. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Anyone knowing Powell’s whereabouts is being asked to contact the Spanish Town Police at 984-2305, 119, or the nearest police station.
Man dies from gunshot wounds
KEINO Smith, 28, died in the Spanish Town Hospital Monday from gunshot wounds he received on Sweetieman Lane in Old Braeton, St Catherine, on Sunday.
Smith, said the police, was standing at his gate when he was approached by three men armed with guns. The men opened fire hitting him several times. He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was admitted. Smith died from his injuries at about 4:45 am Monday.
