Workshop to improve social studies in schools
SOCIAL Studies teachers across the island attended a series of workshops to develop their skills in the teaching of Social Studies. The workshops were held from November 7 to 11 at the Chuckles Resort, Negril, Hanover.
The teachers targeted for the workshops were drawn from schools with a pass rate below 75 per cent in the 2005 CSEC Social Studies exam, and those from schools offering CAPE Sociology and Caribbean Studies.
