Tour bus driver dies in crash, tourists hurt
A tour bus driver died yesterday and the three tourists he was taking to Montego Bay injured when their bus crashed into an Isuzu truck laden with lumber on the Unity Hall main road, a short distance outside the tourist resort city.
Forty-eight year-old Moses Russell of Orange Bay in Green Island, Hanover died on the spot, while his three passengers – an Illinois woman, her 15-year-old daughter and three-year-old son – as well as the driver of the truck, were admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital. Police say that the accident occurred at about 4:00 pm. Both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions.
