Elderly watchman dies in road accident
MONTEGO BAY, St James – Seventy-four year-old Adrian Perry who lived in Canterbury, St James died yesterday morning after he was hit by a motor car on the Greenwood main road in this parish.
According to CCN liaison officer for St James, Constable Peter Salkey, Perry, who was employed as a watchman at All Seasons Resort in Greenwood, left work at about 7:00 am and was about to board a cab in front of the resort when he was hit by a grey Toyota Corolla motor car.
Perry was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Perry is the second reported road fatality in St James since the start of this year. The other, a man, died last week after a motor car hit him on the Rose Hall main road.
