Rotary project gets boost
MANDEVILLE, Manchester – The Rotary Club of Mandeville was Tuesday this week presented with $190,000 by Jamaica Money Market Brokers towards the club’s major project – the building of two additional classrooms and two bathrooms at the School of Hope in Mandeville. The presentation was made at the club’s regular luncheon meeting at the Golf View Hotel. Persons can contribute by lodging to the Rotary Club of Mandeville’s major project account #501022381. NCB Ja Ltd has already given $250,000.00.
The School of Hope is an educational institution for mentally challenged children and based on the demand for their services they are in dire need of expansion. Many parents have their children on a waiting list due to the inability of the school to take them without expanding.
