Celebrating Mum
Mothers were feted all across the land yesterday, with the top morning/afternoon spots being Strawberry Hill, The Courtleigh Hotel and Suites, Jamaica Pegasus, Hilton Kingston, The Terra Nova All Suite Hotel and Norma’s On The Terrace where varied entertainment programmes complemented the excellent fare on offer.
At Norma’s On The Terrace, the Campbell family held court, with senator (clockwise from left) Colin Campbell, mother-in-law Merle Small, wife Marshalin, son Jordan, mom Mebrey Campbell, and dad Clifton, niece Daniel Richardson and sister Dr Andrea Campbell.
Over at the Terra Nova, Audrey Marks-Dunstan made a day of it with her daughters, Morgan and Madison, while UWI Geology Lecturer, Dr Simon Mitchell honoured wife Joe-Ella (looking smart in pink) and son Peter.
Inside the Terra Nova, Aneita Ebanks reposed with her son-in-law Errol McGregor and daughter Shelley.
Over at the Pegasus, where the likes of Harold Davis, Michelle Newell, Maria Myrie and To-Isis thrilled the audience, communications consultant Christine Bell and her mum -everyone calls her ‘Queenie’ – were among those who packed the ballroom.
Light on his feet
What better way for Manhattans lead singer Gerald Alston to combat jet lag than to sit back, relax and be pampered at Isabelle’s Spa in Kingston (Sonia Flemming of Isabelle’s has his feet all to herself). No strangers to Jamaica, Alston and bandmates jetted in for the big Mother’s Day show at C&W Golf Academy.
