Doctor killed in car smash
Mandeville, Manchester – Dr Lucien Cooper, a 58-year-old medical practitioner was killed in a car crash on the Winston Jones Highway just outside Mandeville on Monday night, police say.
Dr Cooper was at the wheel of his Volvo motor car which drifted from the left lane into the path of a truck, the police say.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 pm about 1000 metres west of the Intersection of the Winston Jones Highway and the Kendall main road, overlooking the red mud lake.
The doctor was travelling from his medical practice in May Pen to his home in Mandeville when he was killed.
