Man held with 35,000 CDs, DVDs returns to court Sept 15
MARK Wright, the man who was taken into custody following the seizure of approximately 35,000 copies of CDs and DVDs from a house on Red Hills Road, Kingston two weeks ago, was ordered to return to the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court on September 15, when he appeared in court Tuesday.
Wright, 34, is charged with multiple breaches of the Copyright Act and faces a maximum fine of $100,000 per pirated work of art – including individual songs on music CDs. He is currently out on $250,000 station bail.
