Taxi driver killed, two injured in Greenwood crash
GREENWOOD, St James – Taxi driver Clifton Neish, 35, was killed in a vehicular collision along the Greenwood main road in St James on Sunday night, leaving the Davis Pen community in Trelawny, where he resided, in a state of mourning.
Raymond Harvey, 61, of Patterson Avenue in Ironshore, and Bryan Lewis, also 61, of Unity Hall, who were aboard the truck were admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in a stable condition.
“I can’t believe it, mi just get the news,” said one of Neish’s neighbours from Davis Pen, who along with several members of Davis’ family and hundreds of onlookers had converged on the accident scene.
Davis, who was driving a white Toyota Corrolla motor car in the direction of Falmouth, collided with an Isuzu truck travelling in the opposite direction along a section of the Greenwood main road where repair work was being done.
