Two shot, one fatally, on Little Kew Road

TWO young men were Tuesday shot, one fatally, by gunmen on Little Kew Road in the Kingston 10 area.

The identity of the dead man, who is believed to be about 26 years old, has not yet been ascertained, while injured is a 17-year-old resident of Kingston 10.

The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported that at about 12:30 pm, the two were walking along Little Kew Road when they were attacked by two gunmen. The gunmen, the CCN reported, immediately opened fire, killing one on the spot and injuring the other. The injured youngster has since been admitted in hospital in stable condition.

Man shot dead in Succaba Pen

GLENROY Boxx, otherwise called “Kojie”, 23, was shot dead by unknown assailant/s in Succaba Pen, Old Harbour, St Catherine Tuesday night.

The CCN reported that about 11:00 pm residents heard explosions and summoned the police, who found Boxx with gunshot wounds lying on a roadway in the community. He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Cops probe fatal police shooting in August Town

THE police’s Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) is investigating the circumstances surrounding yesterday’s fatal police shooting of a young man in August Town, Kingston 7.

According to the CCN, at about 12:10 yesterday morning a police patrol in August Town saw a group of men, who opened fire on them when challenged.

“. During an ensuing exchange of gunfire, the youngster, who was amongst the group, was hit. A 9mm Beretta pistol serial #C20934Z with 5 rounds was taken from him. He was taken to the university Hospital where he was pronounced dead,” said a CCN report.

Man falls from truck, crushed to death

ONEIL Johnson of Little Kew Road, Kingston 10, was Tuesday night crushed to death when he fell from a truck in which he was a passenger.

The police reported that Johnson fell from a Ford truck at the William Street intersection of Michael Manley Boulevard.

According to the police, Johnson fell from the vehicle after it made a sudden stop, and was run over. He died on the spot.

The driver, who was given a breathalyser test by the police, was taken to hospital where he was treated.

The truck has since been seized by the police.
