Two charged with chef’s murder
GLENDEVON, St James – Two men were arrested yesterday in connection with Monday’s murder of Andre Turner, the 19-year-old chef who was shot and killed at Bottom Pen in this volatile community.
The men, Chriss Lee Bowen, 24, and Ricardo Sterling, 25, were picked up in Cacoon, Hanover during a motor vehicle spot check early yesterday morning, the police said.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB), Assistant Commissioner Denver Frater said yesterday that the police were also seeking another man known as Nicardo “Conti” Whyte in connection with Turner’s murder.
Lionel Lindo, alias “Foodie”, who was also wanted in connection with the shooting and injury of the 16-year-old schoolgirl who was shot on Tuesday, reportedly in retaliation for Turner’s murder, turned himself in to the police yesterday. The police said he was brought in by his parents.
