Good Hope labourer chopped to death
SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth – The police are investigating the murder of 31-year-old Winston Robinson, a labourer and caretaker of Good Hope district, about six miles south-west of this town.
Police say Robinson’s body was found with chop wounds to the abdomen at noon Wednesday on a farm where he worked in the adjoining district of Top Burnt Ground.
A man believed to be mentally retarded has been taken into custody for questioning in relation to the incident.
Robinson’s death brings to 17 the number of people murdered in St Elizabeth so far this year, compared to 34 for the same period last year.
