Police hold three for murder of Lilliput resident
LILLIPUT, St James – Three men are in police custody awaiting identification parades in connection with Tuesday’s murder of Zabeke Black, 24, in this community.
Black was sitting on a wall near his house at Bobman Hill, Lilliput at about 8:30 am Tuesday when he was pounced upon by two gunmen who opened fire on him before leaving the scene on foot. Black suffered gunshot wounds and was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The gun slaying of the Lilliput resident is the latest in a recent wave of violence, which has been rocking St James. The incident brings to 177, the number of murders recorded in the parish so far this year.
