St Elizabeth’s 20th murder for 2006
Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth – A 32-year-old labourer, Milton Thompson, otherwise called ‘Mildred’ of Burnt Savannah was the 20th and final murder victim in St Elizabeth for 2006, police say.
There were 36 murders in the parish in 2005.
The police report that at about 7:00 pm on Sunday, they were summoned by passers-by who saw Thompson’s body lying at the side of the Slipe main road, close to Lacovia.
It was later discovered that the body had gunshot wounds.
Police say they are yet to establish a motive for the killing and have so far made no arrests. The Lacovia Police are leading the investigation.
