Brothers shot dead in Central Village
THE Central Village police say an ongoing gang feud in Central Village, St Catherine, was responsible for yesterday’s murder of two brothers in the area.
Orlando ‘Lando’ Long, 24, and Dane ‘Punta’ Lewis, 26, of Central Road in the community, were shot dead shortly before 3:00 am.
The police say they went to the community after residents called to say that a house had been set on fire, and that they had also heard gunshots.
The cops say the residents reported that their efforts to out the blaze were met with gunfire by the alleged arsonists.
When the cops arrived, they found Lewis’ bullet-riddled body in a yard, while his younger brother’s body was found inside the burnt out building.
Police report that several crude bombs were found at the scene.
The police are said to be investigating.
