Cops seize 15,000 pounds of ganja

THE narcotics police seized more than 15,000 pounds of ganja during an operation in the Kingston 6 area yesterday.

No one was arrested for the drug find.

The police’s information arm, the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN), reported that officers from the Police Narcotics Division seized the weed during an operation at Goodwill Avenue shortly after 7:00 in the morning.

“Three Toyota Hiace buses which were on the premises were found laden with compressed ganja weighing over 15,000 pounds. The three vehicles along with a Honda motor car and a vacuum sealing machine were seized,” said a CCN report.

Investigators said three men who were on the premises during the raid managed who elude narcotics agents.
