CWC health and anti-doping directorate meets today
THE Medical Health and Anti-Doping Directorate for the ICC Cricket World Cup will have its final meeting in Trinidad and Tobago today, aimed at ensuring that all plans relating to the hosting of the event are foolproof.
Jamaica’s Dr Marion Bullock Ducasse, who chairs the directorate, said teams of doctors will be travelling among host countries to help address any hiccups during the month-and-a-half-long event.
Also in preparation for the World Cup, Jamaica has acquired 30 new ambulances at a cost of $2 million.
Ducasse said although the ambulances will be assigned according to need, some will also be assigned to Sabina Park and the Trelawny multi-purpose stadium, the two main grounds for the games Jamaica will host.
