Police to charge driver in deadly MoBay crash
MONTEGO BAY, St James – The police yesterday said one of the drivers involved in Thursday night’s two-vehicle collision at Rose Heights, near Montego Bay, which left a woman dead and three persons admitted in hospital, will be charged on the weekend.
The dead woman was identified as Sheryl Beckford, 35, of Farm Heights in St James while injured are Lenville Fray, 20, Cornellia Finikin, 22, and Travis Clarke, 23, all of Rose Heights addresses.
According to the police, at about 11:00 pm Beckford, Fray and Finnikin were passengers in a Toyota Corolla motor car registered 2567EX travelling along Forty One Road in Rose Heights when it collided with a Toyota Sprinter motor car being driven by Travis Clarke.
The four were taken to the nearby Cornwall Regional Hospital where Beckford was pronounced dead and the others admitted in stable condition.
