PM, JEA hail Ray Hadeed
PRIME Minister Portia Simpson Miller says the death of Ray Hadeed represents the closure of a significant chapter in the history of the local manufacturing sector.
“It is an era that not only records his performance as an entrepreneur, but also as an individual deeply committed to the development of a vibrant local manufacturing sector,” Jamaica House quoted the prime minister.
Hadeed, a former president of the Jamaica Manufacturer’s Association and founder of the Serv-Wel Group of Companies, died Monday.
Jamaica Exporters Association (JEA) president Marjory Kennedy also hailed the late Ray Hadeed “for his sterling contribution to the manufacturing sector in Jamaica”.
Kennedy also acknowledged Hadeed’s role as a strong advocate for the development of the manufacturing sector and the creation of a more facilitating infrastructure for manufacturing enterprises in Jamaica.
