Chaos as heavy rains lash MoBay
MONTEGO BAY, St James – Several streets in Montego Bay were yesterday left under water as heavy rains pelted the western resort city, causing chaos and a traffic nightmare for many motorists.
A number of businesses, particularly those located along Union Street, St James Street, Creek Street and at the intersection of Humber Avenue and Dome Street were flooded as rain lashed the city for several hours.
Several motorists told the Observer that they encountered lengthy delays travelling into Montego Bay, as several roadways leading into the downtown area of the city were, for several hours, rendered impassable to vehicular traffic.
