Consular section of US Embassy in Kingston to close on Friday
THE Consular Section of the Embassy of the United States of America in Kingston will be closed on Friday for in-service training, the embassy said yesterday.
The rest of the Embassy will, however, remain open.
“There will be no visa interviews or routine American Citizen Services available,” the embassy said yesterday.
It also advised that persons who were scheduled to pick up US passports from the American Citizen Services unit on Friday, should pick up documents tomorrow instead.
“As always, emergency services for American citizens will continue to be available without interruption. American citizens with a bona fide emergency should call 702-6000,” the embassy advised.
“The US Consular Agency in Montego Bay at St James Place on Gloucester Avenue will remain open for services to American citizens,” it added.
The Consular Section in Kingston will reopen for business on Monday.
