Comrades say they were stoned along Bog Walk Gorge
MONTEGO BAY, St James – Seven People’s National Party (PNP) supporters returning to Montego Bay from the party’s mass rally in Half Way Tree, Kingston Sunday night claimed they were injured after the bus in which they were travelling was allegedly pelted with rocks by a group of persons in the vicinity of the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine.
The party’s caretaker for North West St James, Henry McCurdy, said the incident had been reported to the PNP headquarters. However, the Bog Walk police said they had no record of the incident.
According to a female officer, the incident was “not recorded in the book”.
McCurdy, in the meanwhile, said the injuries were “not considered serious”. The former cop said he has appealed to his supporters to “remain calm and focused”.
