Gaynor, Scringer make -JFF executive
MONTEGO BAY, St James
Bruce Gaynor, the General Secretary of the St James Football Association and Lorraine Scringer, president of the Hanover Football Association, were nominated unopposed for the posts of second vice-president and executive officer of the Jamaica Football Federation’s (JFF) executive respectively at the close of last week’s nominations for the November 4th Voting Congress.
In a release sent out by the JFF last weekend, Gaynor, the long-time Seba United executive, was unchallenged for the post as was Scringer, who has been in charge of the Hanover FA for the past 11 seasons.
A third western executive, Linnel McLean, the president of the Trelawny FA and second vice-president of the JFF, will contest the post of first vice-president against Manchester FA’s boss, Dale Spencer, who is thought to be the choice of incoming JFF boss, Horace Burrell.
Burrell is the sole nominee for the post of president and will replace Crenston Boxhill who beat him in a close vote in November 2003 when the last voting congress was held in Trelawny.
Boxhill has indicated he will not seek re-election.
Raymond Anderson, president of the St Mary FA, a former vice-president under Burrell, is also the sole nominee for the position of third vice-president while Garfield Sinclair, a member of the St Catherine FA, has been elected unopposed for the post of Treasurer.
