John Lynch new JTB chairman
TOURISM Minister Ed Bartlett yesterday announced the appointment of John Lynch as the new chairman of the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB).
A former deputy director of tourism, Lynch replaces Dennis Morrison, who resigned recently as head of the JTB, in keeping with established procedures when there is a change of government.
Lynch, who has a long history within the tourism sector across the Caribbean, is currently executive vice-president of Unique Vacations, the worldwide representatives for the Sandals and Beaches Resorts brand.
Lynch did his stint as deputy director of tourism in the 1980s and once worked with the national airline under the stewardship of Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart, chairman of Sandals International.
