EOJ promises to pay all workers by next Wednesday
THE Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) says all payments to persons who worked on election day, September 3, will be made by next Wednesday.
In a release to the media yesterday, the EOJ said it had not announced when persons would be paid due to security concerns. The EOJ said it would continue to contact persons individually as it has done for payments made previously.
To date, the office said payments have been made to 24,164 people who worked as either presiding officers, poll clerks, machine operators or supervisors.
However, several other workers complained that they had not been paid.
