Overproof, unpredictable and stimulating with much appeal
White Lightning, Devil in a Red Dress and Seduction might not be immediately associated with a bottle of Overproof White Rum, but then again many would argue that it really depends on how many you’ve actually had. Hmmm an interesting predicament.
One we found ourselves in Tuesday last at Guilt Trip. Imagine the creamiest egg nog splashed ever so deceptively with Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum. That was the White Lightning – melted vanilla ice cream with Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum, heavy cream and a splash of orange liqueur poured in a martini glass -divinely decadent, It’s a drink you’ll absolutely enjoy this festive season (calorie count notwithstanding).
Devil in a Red Dress, a fruity blend of sorrel, Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum, ginger juice, ginger ale and lime; and Seduction, a perfect combination of passion fruit juice, Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum, Absolut Citron and lime juice will stimulate both conversation and enough goodwill to take you into the New Year.
Cocktail Mixes aside, Hylton used Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum to add oomph to his sorrel crêpes Jamaïque, the Fire on Ice, a plain cake filled with sorrel soaked in Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum and naturally there were sufficient splashes in Guilt Trip’s celebrated rum and raisin cheesecake. We reckon we’ve given enough inspiration to stock the bar and create your own – The desserts we reckon you’ll find easier to order from the Guilt Trip.
