Commissioner Lewin to open youth camp at Muschett
WAKEFIELD, Trelawny
Commissioner of Police Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin will on Monday officially declare open the annual police youth club summer camp at the camp site of the Muschett High School in Trelawny.
Junior minister in the ministry of information, sports and culture, Senator Warren Newby,
will also be in attendance at the opening ceremony.
Approximately 300 Police Youth Club members drawn from across the island will participate in the camp which ends on August 18.
According to the Community Safety and Security Branch which is hosting the event, the emphasis this year will be placed on youths from inner city communities.
“Selected police personnel will supervise and manage the camp and the focus this year will be on Skills Training and Personal Development”, the Branch said.
