Countdown to Ocean Splash ‘009

With only two weeks left until Ocean Splash ‘009, the town of Oracabessa in St Mary is ready to see some of Jamaica’s biggest entertainers face off against the local 007 All Stars football (soccer) team on James Bond Beach on Sunday, December 20.

The Ocean Splash ‘009 Celebrity Football Match gives Reggae/Dancehall stars a chance to bring their fancy footwork from the stage to the soccer field this holiday season for the Ocean Splash ‘009 family fun day. The celebrity team, captained by dancehall deejay Wickerman, includes Spragga Benz, Aidonia, RDX, Delly Ranx, Prestige, Anthony Cruz, Captain Barkey, Mad Cobra, Tony Curtis, Lukie D, Mr Peppa, Mega Banton, Jigsy King, I-Octane, Galaxy P, Beetle Bailey, Ninja Kid, Little Chris, Teacha D, Vybrant, Mitch, Kashu Man, Higher Boukie, Stikki, and Blacka Pride.

Complete with live performances from dancehall’s ‘first lady’ D’Angel, singers Terry Linen and Anthony Cruz, Tanya Stephens, roots chanter Prestige and popular Dutty Fridaze dancers Dyema, Iyla, Marvin, and Back It Up, Ocean Splash ‘009 promises to be the holiday’s biggest beach party.

“I have been getting a lot of calls and requests from people wanting to purchase tickets, and other entertainers wanting to be part of the event,” states Ocean Splash ‘009 organiser Tasz Smith of Triple T Production. “A lot of people are buying tickets by the bulk for bus trips and family outings.”

Special giveaways include T-Shirts, appliances and a 32″ flat screen television. Music will be provided compliments of Dutty Fridaze’s Slim-J and Fire 20.
