Being Kate Moss: Lindsay Lohan pays tribute

People Post

After her photographic tribute to heroine Marilyn Monroe, Lindsay Lohan has moved on to a more modern-day icons.

In an 18-page spread for Italian magazine Muse, a semi-nude Lindsay does her best to impersonate a grungy-looking Moss in a steamy tribute to the supermodel’s four-year relationship with Johnny Depp in the mid to late 90s.

Shot at West Hollywood celebrity haunt Chateau Marmont, the photos show the 23-year-old troubled startlet in bed with male model Petey Wright in the role of a louche Depp.

And dancer Sofia Boutella joins the duo for a photographic ménage a trois.

Other shots show Lohan, who’s recently been linked with actor Jason Segel, after splitting from girlfriend Samantha Ronson, flashing a breast and romping naked in bed with Wright.

Photographer Yu Tsai said Lohan ‘was totally comfortable with the nudity as long as it had artistic integrity.

‘She was playing the role of Kate Moss –you’re at a party and you are with a guy you really love and another girl.’

The photographer said despite her wild-child reputation, Lindsay was “incredibly focused where it comes to her career. ‘It’s raw, it’s exposed, this is her at her best. She told me ‘I want to make this iconic’.”

Uma Thurman breaks off engagement

Actress Uma Thurman has broken off her engagement to French multi-millionaire Arpa ‘Arki’ Busson.

The 39-year-old star — who has appeared in movies including Quentin Tarantino films Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction — split from financier Mr Busson last month. They had been engaged for more than a year. ‘The engagement ended a while back — but they remain friends,’ a source revealed.

The couple started dating in the summer of 2007.

A year later, Mr Busson — who was previously the partner of Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson — proposed by presenting Ms Thurman with an eight-plus carat engagement ring.

Diva night

Rihanna was in superhero mode as she headed up a crowd of divas at the launch of a new music video website Tuesday night.

She wore an open cropped jacket with huge shoulder pads — with apparently nothing underneath — and high-waisted trousers.

But it was the huge gold belt and matching bangle with spiky gold shoes that had the fashion-forward singer looking like a cross between Wonder Woman and Catwoman.

The Russian Roulette singer was at the launch of website Vevo in New York Tuesday night with Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga.

Country singer Taylor Swift looked her usual elegant self by playing it safe in a simple black dress with embellished shoulder detail, black court heels and low-key accessories.

Mariah Carey, who gave a speech at the event, was also there with husband Nick Cannon, and dressed in figure-hugging black.

Sarah Jessica Parker makes last-minute adjustments

Sarah Jessica Parker was forced to make emergency adjustments to her figure-hugging dress as she made her way down the red carpet in London Tuesday night.

The actress, who was at the premiere of her new movie Did You Hear About The Morgans? was spotted hoicking up the front of her hot pink mini.

As SJP, who tottered along in Charlotte Olympia platforms, nearly exposed herself to photographers while rearranging the front of her dress, she was also seen smoothing down the rear of her super-short mini.

She was joined at the premiere by her co-star Hugh Grant, who at one point placed his hand a daringly long way down the small of SJP’s back.

Grant, who is nearing 50, was accompanied by his close friend and former girlfriend Liz Hurley, who like SJP wore a pink and red minidress.

The new film sees Grant reunited with SJP for the first time since they starred in the 1996 movie Extreme Measures.
