Leona Lewis has been caught up in a terrifying siege in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old star was horrified as thugs waving handguns ran towards her car as they attempted to flee police following a high-speed chase.

Miss Lewis’s security intervened before the men ran off, but not before her manager Nicola Carson was thrown to the ground. The singer had been on her way to LA international airport when she stopped at a Starbucks coffee house to pick up some drinks.

The timing was unfortunate, however, as just then the police chase came careering into the car park outside, where Miss Lewis was waiting.

A source close to the star told the Daily Mail: “It was absolutely terrifying and Leona is still very shaken by what happened. It could have been so much worse. Leona was in her parked car when the chase came to crash around her. Two police cars had blocked off this other car. Men jumped out and suddenly these thugs waving guns ran towards Leona. LAPD cars were swarming the scene and shoppers were screaming. Thank goodness Leona’s security tackled one of the men before he ran off. It was a real commotion. Nicola was in a terrible state as well, as police knocked her to the ground as she tried to make her way back to the car.”

Miss Lewis arrived back in Britain Thursday night, while Miss Carson told friends: “We’ve had the scare of our lives.”

A friend stressed that the singer did not see any of the people involved in the incident.

Kim, 29, has shed the pounds in recent months, attributing the dramatic results to a product called QuickTrim, which she endorses with sister Khloe.

But despite her weight loss, the socialite has still managed to maintain the famous curves that propelled her to fame.

Thursday night the brunette attended a party at Miami Beach to celebrate the magazine’s 17th anniversary.

GaGa forced to cancel show

Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel a concert minutes before taking to the stage concert after falling ill.

Fans of the 23-year-old singer were left disappointed after it was announced she was too sick to perform at Purdue University in Indiana Thursday night.

Gaga was advised by medics to quit the show after feeling ‘dizzy and having trouble breathing’ which they said was a result of exhaustion and dehydration. The singer posted an apology on Twitter and informed fans why she pulled out of the show.

GaGa tweeted: “Can’t apologise enough for how sorry I am. I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go onstage.” She continued saying “I’ve been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down 2nite. An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing.”

They may be octuplets, but they certainly aren’t identical.

For while seven of Nadya Suleman’s eight new babies are dark-haired and brown-eyed, one appears to be striking a blow for individuality with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Despite fears about their health when they were first born, however, all eight babies look healthy and happy as their mother takes them for a stroll in a California park. Their mother also looked surprisingly radiant, considering she has eight babies under the age of one and six other young children to care for.

Dressed in tight jeans and a red top, the 34-year-old showed off a remarkably trim figure as she pushed her two specially adapted buggies.
