Earth’s decay
Dunrobin Primary fifth grader, Devoye Thompson poses with the poster he created for a recent environmental poster competition. The youth’s entry was too late for the competition but he decided to share his creation with Environment Watch readers. The work, titled “Lest we act now”, depicts a globe being flushed down a toilet, representing man’s steady destruction of the environment. It also shows the problem of overfishing, the pollution of the atmosphere and ocean, a blackened Ozone layer, and evere deforestation. (Photo: Garfield Robinson)
