Sweet smell of success: Beyoncé launches a new fragrance

Instead of taking a few days off to bask in the glory of her Grammy success on Sunday night, Beyoncé was straight back to work launching her new fragrance.

She is currently on a promotional blitz in New York, where she has made a series of in-store appearances to unveil her first fragrance, Heat.

She turned out at high-end department store Macy’s on Wednesday, and spritzed away as she posed for the cameras in a stylish navy frock and bright red peep-toe heels.

Beyoncé, who scooped six awards including Song of the Year for Single Ladies at the ceremony, recently revealed she’s planning to take some time away from the spotlight.

“It’s definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries,” she said last month.

But there are rumours her management team — which includes her father Mathew Knowles — are eager for her to push back her break to capitalise on her Grammys triumph.

Rihanna looks striking in lightning bolt heels

Rihanna was spotted rehearsing for the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam in Miami in a pair of lightning bolt heels.

She looked like she meant business in the shoes, which she teamed with a black and gold Chanel hat.

She completed her military-themed look with Versace shades and tight olive jeans as she practised her choreography and vocals before heading back to her hotel.

The Barbadian star is one of a host of celebs who will perform at the concert.

Pretty in Pink

She usually favours leather jackets and biker boots, but Pink surprised onlookers yesterday by swapping her toyboy attire for a soft and feminine dress.

The singer was spotted leaving Stanley’s restaurant in Los Angeles in a tailored frock, which left her looking more like a Fifties housewife a than pop rock star.

The figure-hugging number featured a dusty pink skirt — in keeping with her name — and floral top and detailing. She wore ladylike peeptoe heels in a matching shade and even had a little clip in her hair which only added to the very girlie look.

The 30-year-old was dining out after vowing to “get fat” following her intensive acrobatic performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

The star, whose real name is Alecia Moore, performed Glitter In The Air in a nude Bob Mackie bodysuit while suspended on a silk rope above the audience.

The act involved serious training, and she’s now looking forward to easing up.

Miley Cyrus’s nine-year-old sister’s risqué clothing line

Miley Cyrus’s nine-year-old sister is set to raise eyebrows again with news she is launching a clothing line for children.

Noah, who is not even high school age yet, is teaming up with best friend Emily Grace Reaves, eight, and Ooh! La, La! Couture designers for the project.

The two youngsters will release the ‘trendy, sweet, yet edgy’ designs in time for Valentine’s Day.

However, parents may raise an eyebrow or two at the grown-up nature of the slightly risqué designs.

The Star was also promoting the product in New York on Tuesday.
