JustBet on tech
If you can use a cellphone, then engaging in Supreme Ventures’ new game JustBet shouldn’t be that arduous a task. “For the consumer using the microLOT terminal the experience is very quick and easy,” shares Andrei Roper, brand manager at Intralot Jamaica Ltd, the company that supplies the gaming technology.
JustBet is a new sports betting game on the market that utilises a particular gaming terminal or system to function.
The game has a new fixed-odds sports betting feature which allows users to place bets on the outcome of matches and events in their favourite sports including football (all the major leagues and tournaments); basketball (NBA, European League and international competitions); cricket (all Test, One-Day international and Twenty/20 matches); track and field (IAAF meets and competitions, World Championships and Olympics) and American Football.
“The microLOT gaming terminal uses fast and efficient GPRS connectivity to safely and securely transmit data, like bets, cancellations, payouts and other financial information, from the terminal to the game’s central system,” explains Roper.
The data is then transmitted from the central system back to the terminal.
“The central system uses the state-of-the-art LOTOS Operating System, which is the first lottery system in the world to score 100 per cent in Computer Gaming and Internal Control System,” Roper explains.
“Everything is recorded in the central system and all info is sent and received in code.”
But with all this tech-talk, how does the consumer stand to benefit?
“Once the user submits his bet slip to the agent, or simply tells the agent what bet he wants to play, in a matter of seconds, the ticket can be printed from the microLOT terminal,” Roper shares.
And the best part is, you can bet with as little as $50… and that’s way less than a phone card.
