Liz Hurley bans son from watching ex Hugh Grant’s movies

Liz Hurley bans son from watching ex Hugh Grant’s movies

Liz Hurley has banned her seven-year-old son from watching films starring her ex-boyfriend Hugh Grant — because they contain too much bad language.

Yet the 43-year-old says that Damian loves watching all of her movies, especially Austin Powers — which was given a 15 certificate in Britain for its risque innuendo.

Hurley said, modestly, that she would not normally watch her own films, but that her son could recite all her lines from the 1997 spy spoof. Another of his favourites is Bedazzled, also rated 15, in which Hurley plays the devil, dressed in a red PVC catsuit.

But movies starring her ex are out of bounds for Damian, despite the fact he is Grant’s godson.

“We’re always trying to find something that Uncle Hugh has done that he can see, but they’re full of swear words,” she said. “We can’t find any!”

“He can’t watch Four Weddings And A Funeral. He can’t watch About A Boy. It’s quite difficult trying to find stuff for kids.”

“I wouldn’t really watch anything that I’m in, but because of Damian, I’ve seen Austin Powers thousands of times.”

“He knows all my lines, he can describe all my costumes, all my hairstyles — he knows which ones are wigs; he knows the lot. And Bedazzled he loves. He loves me being the devil. Of course he knows all those lines as well. I don’t know any of them.”

Hurley has remained close to Grant despite their split ten years ago after a 13-year relationship. Grant even went on holiday to the Seychelles with Damian, Liz and her husband, Indian businessman Arun Nayar, two years ago.

And when Hurley’s short-lived relationship with Damian’s father, Hollywood film producer Steve Bing, ended, it was Hugh she turned to for support.

“We see an awful lot of him,” she said. “We still live next door to each other in London.”

‘Splitsville’ for J Love and Jamie

Jennifer Love Hewitt has split from her Ghost Whisperer co-star Jamie Kennedy.

A spokesman for the actress, who found fame in I Know What You Did Last Summer, confirmed the break-up.

After failed relationships with a string of stars, including John Mayer, Jennifer was thought to be happily dating Kennedy.

The 30-year-old actress and the 39-year-old comedian and actor met on their hit US TV series last year.

They went public when Jamie admitted in a radio interview that he was seeing his co-star, claiming she was his perfect woman. “You are hot. You can sing, you can dance, you’re, like, so smart and, wow, you can cook pasta fagioli, too,” he said.

Three months after that, when Jennifer was asked about rumours of an engagement, she said, “If by this time next year we’re not planning something, then there’s a situation.”

Jack Tweed visits Jane Goody’s grave on the 1st anniversary of her death

Jack Tweed visited the grave of his late wife Jade Goody yesterday, on the first anniversary of her death.

The Big Brother star died from cancer on Mother’s Day last year, and her widower Tweed, 22, went to pay his respects to the woman he married just 13 months ago.

He was sombre as he put flowers and a card at the graveside before reading other cards that had been left there. Details of Jade’s will emerged last week, showing that the reality TV star left Jack no money. Instead, her fortune was bequeathed to her two sons, Freddie, six, and Bobby, five, while Jack was granted ownership of Jade’s last car — worth £14,000.

Tweed was only recently released from Pentonville prison, North London, after being jailed for breaching his parole conditions.

He was charged with the alleged rape of a 19-year-old girl at his home in South Woodford last September.
