Top three hunt 4-in-a-row in Berger Super League netball

UNBEATEN defending champions Jamalco, along with Waulgrovians ‘A’ and Tivoli ‘A’ will be going for their fourth straight win as the 2010 Berger Paints/Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) Clubs Super League netball competition continues today at the Leila Robinson Courts, commencing at 7:00 pm.

Jamalco are scheduled to face SKIBO; Waulgrovians ‘A’ meet Arnett Gardens ‘A’; Tivoli ‘A’ take on GC Foster Strikers ‘A’, Mico Netball Club play Police ‘A’, while Windalco oppose Tivoli ‘B’ at 5:50 pm.

With three consecutive wins from three starts under their belts, Jamalco, Waulgrovians ‘A’ and Tivoli ‘A’ should easily make it four victories from four starts.

The Winston Nevers-coached Jamalco should not have much difficulty in beating the Wayne Stewart-coached SKIBO ‘A’, who have won one game from three outings.

Meanwhile, Waulgrovians ‘A’ should also win convincingly against Arnett Gardens ‘A’, who have won one game from three starts. Jointly coached by Marvette Anderson and Patrick Brissett, the many-time champions will have shooters Simone Forbes, Christina Solmon and Janeil Fowler to outshoot their opponents, while supporting roles should come from Naudia Hanson, Adean Thomas, LaShawna Williams and Nichala Gibson.

Tivoli ‘A’, coached by Sylvester Campbell, are expected to make it four from four against GC Foster Strikers ‘A’, who are coached by C Lloyd Walker.

Matches are also on in the Supreme Ventures Division ‘A’ and ‘C’ Leagues and the Western Union Division ‘B’ League with the opening round of matches today scheduled to start at 12:30 pm.
