Cool Wave score domino hat-trick
Zone B’s Cool Wave on Sunday continued its winning ways in the Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum Western Jamaica domino competition, trumping Dynasty by 21 points (300-279).
The game, which was played in Falmouth Gardens, featured a hat-trick by Cool Wave, which created a massive upset the week before with a 26-point win over Premier League champions Fighter Jet.
Other Zone B action saw Uptown losing their first match to Fighter Jet (300-281); Star Internatinal winning their first match by 32 points over Rainbow (300-268) and Tornado beating Morning Star by 35 points (300-265).
Zone A action saw Strike Force beating Palm Court by eight points (300-292); Unity Strikers beating Retrieve by 41 points (300-259) and Assassin nicking Tuff Gong by two points (300-298). High Grade won their first match by 20 points over Tropical Riddim (300-280).
Come Sunday the tourney will take a break to facilitate the third annual Everton “Ever” Clarke pairs championships in Duncans.
Clarke who died in 2007, following an illness, was a member of the Waggonists domino team.
The tourney will resume on April 11.
