An April to remember for Tren-Setta artistes
With three stage shows booked for the month of April — Release The Chains, Drinkers Paradise and Curry Festival — Tren-Setta Recording artistes Danny English, Egg Nog, Spryng I, Ras Myrhdak, LMJ, Predator and Kritical are set to entertain their ever-growing fan base.
The artistes, who are all featured on the Tren-Setta-produced Victory Riddim, have seen their popularity soar, as the songs have resonated with dancehall enthusiasts.
According to singer Egg Nog, an act who has earned his dancehall stripes, “We are ready to please our fans — any day, any time.”
Release the Chains, scheduled to be held on April 2 at the Sligoville Sport Complex in Sligoville, St Catherine, feature headliners Bounty Killer, Capelton and Freddy Mcgregor along with Richie Spice, Ras Shiloh, Laden, I – Octane, Bescenta, Jubba Lion, Pliers. Tren-Setta artistes billed are Danny English, Egg Nog, Spryng I among others. MC is Sample Man.
Drinkers Paradise, as the name suggest is all about drinking. It is a Round Robin to be held on April 18 at Smithy’s Bar 24 Half Way Tree Road. Artistes billed for the event are Danny English, Egg Nog, Spryng I, Ras Myrhdak, LMJ, Predator and Kritical, G Whizz, Twin of Twins, Wasp and Black Lion. Music will be provided by selectors Foota Hype, Pancho, Aggart and Spectrum International sound system.
The annual Westmoreland Curry Festival will be held on April 25 at Manning’s School in Westmoreland. A day and night event for the family as patrons will have everything curry to eat plus live entertainment in the evening.
All the Tren-Setta artistes are looking forward to these engagements and are currently in rehearsal.
The Tren-Setta management team is currently in discussion with various booking agents in the United States and Canada for a North American tour this summer.
