Bacchanal Blocko cancelled but lots more revelry in store
Bacchanal Jamaica’s high energy carnival experience is pushing full steam ahead with the soca revelry up until the ultimate party in the streets, Bacchanal Road March, on April 11. However, due to unforeseen circumstances Bacchanal Blocko slated for March 31 has been cancelled, the organisers have stated in a release.
“It is unfortunate that the Blocko experience had to be called off, but rest assured that Bacchanal Jamaica has lots more alluring events to come before we culminate with the Road March on April 11,” said Bacchanal PR manager Renee Hartley.
For the continuation of the carnival season socaphiles will be treated to events such as: Smirnoff Beach J’ouvert on April 3 at James Bond Beach, Oracabessa with headliners Fay-Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlin; Lime Cay beach party, Soca @ The Sand Bar on April 7; Bacchanal J’ouvert with headliner Shurwayne Winchester and Imij & Co with tons of paint to party to the fullest, on April 9.
Culminating the carnival activities will be the April 11 experience when the people, the colours, costumes and music take to streets for the Bacchanal Road March with the hottest soca DJ’s in the business from Jamaica and Trinidad joined by Imij & Co on the road.
