Nobu tantalises at Strawberry Hill

The hills certainly came alive from March 29 – April 1 as the Nobu Miami team – Thomas Buckley, executive chef; Sunny Oh, executive sushi chef and Natalia Gonzalez, pastry chef – tantalised close to 700 palates. With the easy table styling of chopsticks in signature Nobu sleeves complete with resting stone, a crisp white napkin, a tin holder for the Fiji water and glasses for swirls of CPJ (wines Monday-Wednesday) and Bin 26 and Lascelles wines on Thursday, April 1 and a menu:

o Edamame

o Sashimi Salad with Matsuhisa dressing

o Japanese Snapper Dry Miso

o Hamachi Jalapeno

o Rock shrimp Tempura with Creamy Spicy Sauce

o Black Cod with Miso

o Wagyu Beef Duo- Braised Short Ribs and Anticucho

o Sushi

o Miso soup

o Pre-Dessert

Pina Colado Sorbet with Blackwell Rum

o Dessert: Bento Box: Warm Valrhona Chocolate Souffle Cake

o Nobu Green Tea + Blue Mountain Coffee

that left one completely satisfied although many would have understood the desire for a spoonful more of Green Tea ice-cream…

Who knew it would have taken the combined aplomb of Suzie Berry, The Nobu team and the ever so charming Nicholas Lynch to get us to make eye contact, converse and dine for some four hours each evening! Couples, friends and relationships are, we reckon, that much tighter.

Bravo Nobu! A veritable stroke of genius Suzie Berry! And what a special Thursday evening for National Commercial Bank (NCB) customers and friends!
