Bigger, better 2010 Bacchanal road march for socaphiles
With mobile telecommunications company, leading Sunday’s massive Bacchanal Road March, revellers trekked behind the Digicel truck for an endless supply of energy, music, refreshment, and vibes.
As promised, the hundreds of revellers who chose the sold-out, Digicel-sponsored Treasures of Kashmir costume were feted and entertained by the Digicel rig which featured ace disc jock and radio personality ZJ Ice, who kept patrons wining, gyrating, and chipping all through Kingston.
The truck, which was complete with high-definition television screens, kept the pace for the entire road march which rounded out the Bacchanal 2010 season.
Tahnida Nunes, Digicel’s sponsorship and events manager, said that the company has always enjoyed a synergistic partnership with the Bacchanal Jamaica since 2001.
“Our involvement with Bacchanal Jamaica has grown over the years into a partnership. A partnership that allows us to connect with our customers and deliver value to our customers through this highly anticipated calendar event,” Nunes said.
“Bacchanal 2010 was another exciting year for us. Destra and Busy Signal gave soca fans the best of both worlds during Digicel Night, thousands of customers enjoyed Samsung handsets and thousands of dollars worth of free call credit in our various giveaways. Another big hit this season was the shower station at Beach J’ouvert where fans were able to soak off some of the paint after an exciting day of pure fun at James Bond Beach,” added Nunes.
